Maqpupungko Natural Rock & Coral Pools:
Located in Pilar, these spectacular rock formations look like rocks squatting on top of one another. The name is derived from the local word for Squat ‘pungkô’. A must-see to experience these totally clear, alluring and natural-pools that open up during low tide. Close to the pools you see and hear the waves breaking. There is also an ample stretch of white sand beach, perfect to have a beach picnic.
This trip can also be arranged as a boat tour.

Van or Bike Touring around Siargao Island:
Surf, swim, snorkel, meet the lovely locals and discover a whole lot more! There are many ways to tour around Siargao Island. For a shorter exploration you can rent inexpensively a bicycle or for exploring further distances, rent a motor bike or a car. To see the whole Island is impossible to do in one day. That’s one of the reasons why Patrick’s also offer two and three day tours with overnight stays at popular beaches (like Alegria), where you can surf, explore caves or refresh yourself at the water falls. These overnight tours are well planed with good food and drinks. You will be happy that we organized the island 2 or 3 day trip for you as there are very few choices of food and drinks available around the interior of the Island. Some of the roads are paved and some of the roads are not…if you venture out on your own, ask our friendly staff about the best route to take.

All over Siargao Islands you will be able to watch numerous exotic birds. It is a smorgasbord for any bird lover. You can do bird watching from dawn to dusk. We arrange guided trips right from the Patrick’s resort to the best bird watching spots. A detailed bird list and best places to visit for bird watching is available at the reception. Among the species of the checklist of the birds of Siargao Islands you can find waterfowl and wading birds, a large suite of song birds, raptors, game birds, swifts and nighthawks, etc., many of which occupy several ecosystems simultaneously, as they fly to and from islands, jungles, mangrove forests, meadows, shorelines of waters, and and urban green spaces. Among the many bird species you will be able to watch Great Egrets, Black-winged Stilts, Collared Kingfisher, Hornbills, Eagles, Ducks etc.
